About

Andrew is an Irish writer and director who studies at the renowned London Film school where such alumni include Duncan Jones, Michael Mann and Brad Anderson.

He has most recently been awarded backing from Genera films for one of his short film scripts, Broken Wires. He is currently preparing for his graduation film which has mental health as a main topic.

Andrew Paul Montague

Andrew is an award winning Irish writer & director and IFTA nominee. A graduate from the renowned London Film School whose alumni include Duncan Jones, Michael Mann and Ben Aston.

Andrew’s graduation film, My Other Suit is Human, is currently on the festival circuit and has most recently been nominated for an Irish Academy Award for best short film. Showing at over 20 festivals, it had its world premiere at the prestigious 32nd Galway Film Fleadh in the New Talent Irish Shorts section and screened at the Oscar qualifying 16th HollyShorts Film Festival. It has won multiple awards including Best Student Film at the Kerry International Film Festival, renowned for supporting emerging talent; Best World Cinema Short at the Phoenix International Film Festival; Best Student Film at Hamilton Film Festival and received the Rusty Casselton award at Fargo Film Festival. My Other Suit is Human has also been selected as a Semi-Finalist for the Rhode Island International Film Festival and now for the Rhode Island Irish Film Feis, a sidebar festival for the festival highlighting emerging Irish talent. The film was also selected for the Woods Hole Film Festival in the US where it won two Directors Choice awards earlier this year and was nominated for Best Student film at the Emerging Directors Awards Ireland. Previous films of Andrew’s have shown in multiple festivals in LA, Chicago and London.

Andrew has been shortlisted for bursary awards from Film Offaly and the Isle of Man film fund as well as being selected to pitch to the BFI at Aesthetica Film Festival.

Andrew is currently in development for his debut feature film as well as working on other short form projects.
